Cozumel - March 2006
Diving with Sand Dollar Sports

Like Grand Cayman, it's been a couple of years (and hurricanes) since I visited Cozumel.  In a word the change that has taken place is remarkable.  Many of the structures that were familiar are now, simply, gone.  To quote Monty Python "They cease to be."  The consensus among the locals I talked to is that other than the damage to the cruise ship piers and the vast amount of sand pulled off the beaches and onto the reef the storm was actually pretty good for the island.  It has resulted in the construction of new infrastructure as well as many new resorts.  Here are some photos from my recent trip.  If you would like more detail on the dives you can access my dive log.

This little guy didn't want to sit still. This is the best shot of about a dozen that I snapped.
